Banjul Point Lighthouse is made on a metal framework, near Albert Market. It was built on a peninsula forming the south side of the River Gambia’s mouth, with the harbour sheltered on the south side. The lighthouse serves to guide boats in and out of the River Gambia. It is 27 meters high.
