Rajput Bhati Gate is one of the 13 historic gates of the walled city, on the south side. It is near the Data Darbar and one of the two oldest entry points. When Emperor Akbar expanded the city to the east, it marked the boundary between Mubarak Khan and Rajput Talwarra. It is now a centre for arts and literature. Near it is a house where the celebrated poet, Muhammad (Allama) Iqbal (1877-1938) lived between 1901 and 1905.
