The GCU Botanical Garden is one of Lahore’s hidden gems. It is the oldest Botanical Garden in Pakistan, having been founded in 1912. Its mission is to provide an interactive platform for education and applied research focusing on various aspects of plants such as conservation, taxonomy, plant ecophysiology, and sustainability.’ It is a seven-acre garden and was inspired by the first-ever Botanic garden in Padua, Italy. It contains 700 species from 132 plant families in some 30 different plots and a herbal garden.
