Buada Lagoon

On the western side of the island, the inland water area is called Buada lagoon.  The Lagoon is the only body of fresh water on the island.  In and around the lagoon the wealthy inhabitants of the island live. The place serves as a comfortable rest area and it is a beautiful location to admire Nauru’s natural sites.  Unlike in many areas of Nauru, trees are in relative abundance here.
