The Centenary Chapel, known as ‘Saione’ or ‘Zion’ was built in 2019 to commemorate the centenary of the arrival of Christianity in Tonga. It is the national seat of the Free Wesleyan Church, a spacious church where the King and Queen now worship, as evidenced by the chairs bearing the royal cypher – G v T under crowns.
