The High Court of the Cook Islands has general jurisdiction for the administration of justice in the islands. It is divided into four divisions – criminal, civil, land and children’s court. The first constitution of the Cook Islands was signed here in 1965. The new Court House was opened by Makea Karika Margaret Ariki in 2004.
