Delhi Gate

Delhi Gate is one of the six remaining historic gates to the walled city.  It was built during the Mughal period and was the main gate into Lahore, closed every evening.  The gate was destroyed by the British in 1857 but restored by the British Raj in the late 19th century.  After Partition it housed a girls school.  It has two storeys and room inside for 10 or 12 shops.
