The Lotterywest Federation 620 meter Walkway was constructed as a treetop walk through King’s Park, affording a magnificent view over the city of Perth and Swan River. The walkway is a journey through the park’s history in relation to Indigenous and European culture. Artwork and construction materials augment the natural setting, enabling visitors to appreciate the importance of conserving biodiversity, the cultural and natural heritage and the geographic features of the surrounding landscape. A highlight of the Federation Walkway is a 52-meter arched glass and steel bridge. It is suspended among a canopy of tall eucalypts.Â
