Folk Research Centre

Folk Research Centre, also known as FRC, Plas Wíchès Foklò, was founded in 1973 and is devoted to local history and culture.  It is a repository for cultural heritage – a vehicle for research, study and recording, aimed to promulgate the rich heritage of the island, including the local music of Saint Lucia.  It houses archives, heads research groups, hosts exhibitions and organises cultural events such as the Creole Film Festival and the Creole Music Festival.
