The rowing for Prostrate Team rowed this boat in the first-ever Indian Ocean Rowing Race from Western Australia to Mauritius, a distance of 5472 km. Â The 81-day voyage overcame broken gear, the loss of their forward cabin, a capsize, the loss of their communications and a near-miss with an ocean tanker four days out from the finish line. Â They became the first Southern hemisphere team ever to cross the Indian Ocean. This is based in Orams Marine Village.
