J Shed is a building and collection of artists studios at Arthur Head Reserve, Fremantle and thus home to some of Fremantle’s most talented and iconic artists. J shed was built as a warehouse for Fremantle Harbour in 1913, and moved to its present site in the early 1960s. The glass-fronted warehouse showcases uninterrupted views over the picturesque Bathers Beach.
