King Street Wharf is on the eastern side of Darling Harbour. It is a waterside precinct, which used to be a maritime industrial area, but was developed in the 1980s and 1990s to become a complex of tourism, commercial, residential and maritime development. There are nine wharfs, the first two of which are used by the ferry operator, Captain Cook Cruises.
