Liberation Square

Guernsey / Europe

Liberation Square was developed in 1995 to mark the 50th Anniversary of Guernsey’s liberation.  It is by the harbour close to St Peter Port.  There is a church with a clock tower.  The Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club is nearby.  The Weighbridge was partly destroyed on 28 June 1940.  There is now a Liberation Monument, erected in 1995.
