This fisheries museum on rua Ngungunyane promotes the knowledge and cultural development of the sea. It preserves the history of the local Mozambique fishing industry. Outside the museum are displays of traditional boats, while inside displays of various tools used by local fishermen. It was built in phases, due to the costs, in 2008. It was designed by José Pereira Forjaz (born 1936) and used vistas to reveal interior spaces while emphasizing the great nave where boats are displayed.
