Papua New Guinea / The Pacific

The National Library of Papua New Guinea was founded in 1978 and was a gift from Australia to celebrate the country’s independence three years before.  It houses approximately 56,000 items covering Papua New Guinea’s history.  There are books, films and video footage as well as maps, charts, photographs and microfilm.
