A great place to start the walk along the western coastline is the Niue Island Tourism Centre, which can arrange guides, and bike, cave, bush and reef tours. Snorkelling is popular. There are a huge variety of excursions and activities to explore. There are island tours, orientation tours, rainforest and plantation tours, and tours to see uga (coconut crabs) in their natural habitat. Niue appeals particularly to tourists interested in fitness and adrenaline. The island is also safe to explore by yourself.
