Northbridge Arch

Australia / The Pacific

The Northbridge Arch has been described as ‘a visual rhythm, a pulse, a guardian’.  It stands on the corner of James Street and Lake Street.  It was commissioned by the City of Perth to celebrate the opening of Northbridge Piazza.  It was created by Lorenna Grant, a sculptural artist living in West Perth.  It was installed there in 2010.  It was made in steel by DENMAC and clad in black and white Alucobond aluminium composite and stands 6 metres high.

Northbridge is popular as the home for the Perth Cultural Centre as well as many clubs, bars and cafés.
