Nyamirambo Women’s Centre

Nyamirambo Women’s Centre at KN 132 Street houses a project launched by 18 Rwandese women to address gender-based violence, gender inequality and discrimination.  Their mission is to provide education and vocational training for women who cannot afford to pay for it.  There are tours of the centre, which then expand to a walk through the neighbourhood of Nyamirambo.  It was originally founded in 2007 as a self-help group.  There are classes in English, literacy computer work, sewing and handicrafts.
