The Old Hill Street Police Station is a historic building at 140 Hill Street and was a former police station of the Singapore Police Force. Today it houses government offices. The striking feature of this building are the 927 windows with shutters painted the colours of the rainbow. The Old Hill Street Police Station was built on the site of the city’s first gaol. Between 1915 and 1935 the Singapore Police Force built several police stations to deal with increasing Chinese secret society activities.
