Panggung Bandaraya is a historical theatre, which occupies the site of the historic Old City Hall on Merdeka Square. It was designed by A.B. Hubback (1871-1948) and built between 1896 and 1904. Plays and musicals are staged here. The entire interior was destroyed by a major fire in 1992.
