Perth Arena

Australia / The Pacific

The Perth Arena or RAC Arena is a neo-futuristic modern arena at 700 Wellington Street, which holds 15,000 for sporting events, principally basketball, and live shows by leading artists.   It was designed by architectural firms Ashton Raggatt McDougall and Cameron Chisholm Nicol, inspired by the Eternity Puzzle (a geometric puzzle, invented by Christopher Monckton – 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley).  It was opened in 2012.  The venue has a retractable roof, 36 luxury appointed corporate suites, a 680-bay underground car park, 5 dedicated function spaces, and touring trucks can drive directly onto the arena floor. The Perth Arena is the busiest venue in Western Australia, with many local, regional and international artists having staged their performance at the arena.
