The Pettah Floating Markets are located on Bastian Mawatha in Pettah, a neighbourhood of Colombo and were opened in 2014. The markets are made up of number of stalls established on boats on Beira Lake and they sell local products and local handicraft. The atmosphere here makes a calm contrast to the more vibrant life in the city and beyond.
