There is a Pylon Lookout in the south-east pylon of the Harbour Bridge, one of four impressive pylons, originally built as architectural features for the bridge, but now put to good use. The pylons were made of concrete, faced with granite and are 89 metres high. This pylon contains an exhibition dedicated to the history and construction of the bridge, with key items on display and an audio-visual presentation. At the top of the 200 steps, there is a lookout, affording views of the famous landmarks of Sydney and across the harbour.
