Cathedral of St Michael

Rwanda / Africa

The Cathedral of St Michael at KN 67 Street, near the President’s Palace, is the second oldest Catholic church in Rwanda and the seat of Catholicism in the country and of the Catholic Archbishop.  The cathedral was functionally built, the upper half largely glass affording plenty of light.  The Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kabgayi was established by Pope Paul VI (1897-1978) on 10 April 1976.
