The Law Courts, or Supreme Court, of Sierra Leone, is the highest court. It had the final judgement on all civil, constitutional and criminal cases. All decisions made here cannot be appealed. The Law Courts consists of many justices and is headed by the Chief Justice. These judges are appointed by the President and then approved by the Parliament. The building was established in 1960 and stands out as a large authoritative structure.
