The Odeon is a concrete bunker at St Anne, described as ‘imposing’ and ‘brutalist and impressive’. It was built by German occupying forces as an MP3 five-story naval range-finding tower, to act as part of their sea defence system. It is one of many hundreds that were built. France is well within view from there. It has been described as ‘an eerie tower’ giving an insight into what it must have been like for German soldiers on this tiny rock.
