The Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health specialises in indigenous knowledge and culture, sexual reproductive health and rights, HIV management, nutrition and herbs, and art for connection and healing. Its agenda is that culture ‘shapes everything and that is a marker of a healthy community.’
The Medicine Shield Garden is a demonstration plant-medicine garden, opened in 2008 as a teaching garden for visitors and for partner groups of the Trust. It is popular with school groups, teachers, botanists and community groups. There is a river shrine, a peace path and a river of stones.
