The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) City Gallery at 45 Maxwell Road, portrays the rapid urbanisation of the country. Singapore’s evolution has witnessed a physical transformation with skyscrapers and other iconic structures emerging to create a distinctive skyline, particularly over the last 50 years. This gallery documents these changes and has ten thematic areas, with more than 50 audiovisual and interactive exhibits spanning three floors. It portrays a bird’s eye view of the city centre. This image rapidly comes alive with a light and sound show. This is the ideal location to understand Singapore’s growth as a city.
