WHS Stadium

Namibia / Africa

The Windhoek High School Stadium is the largest sports stadium in the city with the usual crowd of 10,000 people hardly filling the arena.  The Vegkop stadium is the home of the Kudu Bulle and brings happy memories for generations of students who played rugby here or competed in the traditional inter-house athletics competition.  Vegkop also houses the modern WHS cricket-training facility.  Supplementing the stadium is a multi-million-dollar investment in sporting facilities, which include the Davin Astro Hockey field, 2 additional rugby fields, 4 tennis courts, a soccer field, 4 netball courts, a 300 square-meter gymnasium and basketball and volleyball courts.  The latest addition is a heated, indoor swimming pool.
