Canada Memorial

Unveiled by Her Majesty The Queen in 1994, the Canada Memorial in Green Park celebrates the one million Canadians who served with the British forces during the World Wars. Designed by Quebec artist Pierre Granche, a narrow walkway dividing the memorial in two faces the direction of the Canadian port of Halifax in Nova Scotia. The port from where many Canadian service personnel sailed for Europe. Visible in the granite are bronze maple leaves, the national symbol of Canada.
