Parliament Square contains a statue of the young Queen Victoria, inscribed with the dates of her reign, 1837-1901. It was unveiled by the then Governor, Sir William Grey-Wilson (1852-1926), in 1905. Behind it is the Parliament House,
Behind that stands the Supreme Court, constructed in 1921. The court is built to a similar design to the central Public Building. The Supreme and Magistrate’s Courts were on the ground floor and the Registry, Jury Room, Chief Justice and Attorney General’s Chambers and the Law Library were upstairs.
