Sky Tower

Sky Tower is an observation tower 328 metres tall and is the 27th tallest building in the world.  It is one of Auckland’s iconic landmarks, and was built between 1994 and 1997.  It contains the Sky Café at level 50, a main observation deck at level 51, a restaurant for orbit 360 degrees dining at level 52, the Sugar Club restaurant, SkyWalk and SkyJump at level 53, and the Sky Deck at level 60 where tourists walk on glass and can observe the city below.  The Tower is also used for telecommunications.  It was opened on 3 August 1997.  

Sky Tower is above Skycity, an entertainment complex containing a casino in the central business district between Victoria Street and Federal Street.
