Te Koranga is a simple curtain wall building, wrapped in a fabric which provides shelter from the sunlight and privacy from the public. It has vertical fins reminiscent of shark drying scaffolds. ‘Te Koranga’ used to take place here – literally fish drying and processing, undertaken by the Maoris.
